The perfect harmony of mint and chocolate, these decadent truffles are a festive and easy treat to make for St. Patrick's day!
8 ounce brick of cream cheese, softened
1 package of Nabisco Mint Creme Oreos
1/2 lb. Marie's White Wafers
1/2 lb. Marie's Greem Wafers
-Pulverize the Oreos in a food processor.
-In a medium sized bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy.
-Add crushed Oreos and beat on low or stir until well combined.
-Scoop mixture by the rounded tablespoon onto a wax paper lined cookie sheet.
-Place in the freezer for at least one hour.
-Working in small batches (use about half the bag at a time), melt the green wafers in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each round.
-Drop the frozen, round Oreo balls into the melted coating and roll with a fork until coated.
-Lift with a fork and let excess coating drip off the bottom.
-Use a butter knife to slide the Oreo ball off of the fork and back onto the wax paper lined cookie sheet.
-Repeat with the remaining Oreo balls and coating.
-Sprinkle immediately with sprinkles or drizzle with coating of the opposite color.
