Buckeye Muddy Buddy Cookies

For dough:

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup Marie's Milk Chocolate Wafers
  • 1 lb. Marie's Buckeyes
  • 1/4 lb. Marie's Scarlet and Gray Sprinkles
  • powered sugar - to sprinkle tops of cookies

    1. In a mixing bowl, mix butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy and smooth. Add vanilla and egg, blend well.
    2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking soda until well combined. Combine with wet ingredients until smooth dough forms.
    3. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and sent oven to 350 degree F. Roll the dough into tablespoon ball size and roll in sugar, then place on the parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until cookies have turned golden brown and have begun to crack.
    4. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and gently smash the cookies with the bottom of a flat glass, pushing the center in slightly. Leave cookies on cookie sheet for about five minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
    5. When all the cookies have been baked, place the Milk Chocolate Wafers in a microwave safe bowl and melt at 15-30 second intervals, stirring between, until they are all melted.
    6. Spoon melted chocolate into the center of each cookie, place one Buckeye in the middle of each cookie. Once the chocolate is cooled and set, sprinkle powdered sugar over the cookies and enjoy!
