Butterfinger Whoopie Pies

Ingredients:
For the Cookies:
- 1 box of white cake mix
- 8 TBSP butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 cup crushed Marie's Candies Peanut Butter Krisp (similar to Butterfinger)
For the Butter Cream:
- 8 TBSP butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 TBSP honey
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 TBSP water
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup crushed Marie's Candies Peanut Butter Krisp
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Beat the cake mix, butter, egg and Peanut Butter Krisps until a dough forms.
- Form into 48 - 1 inch balls and place on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake for 9 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then remove to your wax paper lined counter to cool completely.
- Beat the butter, shortening, and peanut butter until light and fluffy.
- Add in honey, vanilla, and water and beat again.
- Slowly add powdered sugar until all is incorporated. Stir in the crushed Peanut Butter Krisps.
- Spread the frosting on one cookie and place another cookie on top.
